SPORTS FACILITY, LONDON, UK
A project deeply rooted in community and legacy, our involvement was instrumental in securing the future of these two historic amateur sports clubs.
Hitchin Cricket Club, established in 1866, and Blueharts Hockey Club, which soon followed, have long been fixtures in Lucas Lane. However, their aging facilities no longer met the demands of the modern game. Through a strategic and sensitive approach, we secured planning permission for an enabling housing development on a disused parcel of land, generating the funds necessary to realize a transformative new chapter for both clubs.
The result is a purpose-built facility that honors tradition while embracing progress—a new clubhouse, an all-weather pitch, and a modern scorebox with expanded changing rooms. This project is a testament to the power of considered design and strategic planning in fostering community, sport, and shared history.
