HISTORIC CHAPEL CONVERSION, LONDON, UK

CONVERSION OF A GRADE II LISTED CHAPEL INTO A SINGLE FAMILY HOME

“Mount Zion Chapel” was built in 1859 for the Particular Baptists where it was used for its original purposes until the 1960’s.

Having been somewhat neglected over a few decades, the building was showing extensive signs of wear and tear with movement cracks to the front elevation and general deterioration of the brickwork, roof and timber windows.

Our aim was to deliver an outstanding and unique conversion of an important local building into a modern family home. Careful consideration was been given to the design to ensure that the finished dwelling was practical and functional whilst fully respecting the buildings status and setting with the Conservation area. Good design, materials and workmanship are often overlooked in pursuit of profit. In this instance the aforementioned elements were key to making this a success. The conversion has not only preserve the life of the chapel but has created a new chapter in the buildings colorful history.
