We have always been drawn to the juxtapose of marrying contemporary and traditional architecture as a way to both provide a contrast and demonstrate a clear line in a buildings evolution.

This property was built in the 1920’s outside of London and provided the perfect setting for a family home for our client. In order to meet their needs, we added a modern single story addition to create dedicated study to the front of the property together with a games room to the rear.

In addition to the general upgrades internally, we linked the main house to the garage to form a dining room with a folding glass wall which opens up the the rear terrace. We added a guest suite above the garage which provides separate accommodation for friends an family.

Overall the modern upgrades have resulted in a fabulous family home which accommodates modern living.
